ESTE ARTE announces gallery list and details for 5–8 Jan­u­ary 2016 fair. Directed by Laura Bardier, ESTE ARTE is a fair that presents a tai­lored selec­tion of lead­ing local and inter­na­tional gal­leries, giv­ing col­lec­tors the oppor­tu­nity to expe­ri­ence qual­ity on a com­fort­able scale

ESTE ARTE is an inter­na­tional con­tem­po­rary art fair that take place for the sec­ond time in Camino del Cerro Eguzquiza, La Barra. It brings together the best local gal­leries from Uruguay and a selec­tion of lead­ing gal­leries from around the world. ESTE ARTE 2016 presents an artis­tic offer­ing that ranges from his­tor­i­cal avant­gardes to emerg­ing and con­tem­po­rary art, and includes the Cul­tural Agenda, a par­al­lel pro­gramme to the main fair which incor­po­rates a space for dia­logue among artists, col­lec­tors, crit­ics and cura­tors. The fair presents gal­leries includ­ing Xip­pas (Paris, Geneva, Mon­te­v­ideo), Carroll/Fletcher (Lon­don), Con­tinua (San Gimignano, Les Moulins, Bei­jing), Pho­tol­ogy (Milan), Galería Las­Mi­siones (Punta del Este), Galería SUR (Punta del Este), Galería del Paseo (Punta del Este) and Uno­sunove (Rome). A num­ber of new gal­leries will exhibit at ESTE ARTE includ­ing Stu­dio San­dra Recio (Geneva), Heinzer Res­zler (Lau­sanne), Le Point Fort (Stras­bourg), Regi­nart Col­lec­tions (Geneva, Paris) and Mul.ti.plo Espaço Arte (Rio de Janeiro). Gal­leries also exhibit­ing for the first time at ESTE ARTE 2016 include Black Gallery (Mon­te­v­ideo), Fac­toría de Arte Santa Rosa (San­ti­ago de Chile), Diana Sar­avia (Mon­te­v­ideo), Luciana Mas­sarino (Buenos Aires) and Zielin­sky Con­tem­po­rary Art + (Barcelona). The 2016 fair will be sup­ported by the com­mit­tee of the ESTE AMIGOS, an essen­tial group of local col­lec­tors and friends of the fair and local insti­tu­tions includ­ing the Min­istry of Cul­ture, Min­istry of Tourism and Min­istry of Exter­nal Rela­tions in Uruguay. As Laura Bardier (Direc­tor ESTE ARTE) said, this fair pro­vides a unique expe­ri­ence for vis­i­tors, set against the back­drop of the vibrant city of Punta Del Este, one of the pre­miere travel des­ti­na­tions for the world’s elite.
