CARLOS GARAICOA @ Fondazione Merz — Il Palazzo delle Tre Storie
Carlos Garaicoa and his contemporary architecture ideas are drawn in different ways and materials on cutting mat, rotatory industrial billboard, metal and models made by glass, plastic and wood. Looking at “Limpio, brillante, inutil” (2017) and “Presente Passato Futurismo” (2017) the transformations of the cities are visible in how fast the advertising is moving on new constructions.
Unfortunately, our history made also destructions and crime and it’s perfectly represented in “Sobre el bien y el mal se han escrito miles de paginas” (2017) in which a white dove, positioned at one end of the artwork, after a long transition, becomes a dark eagle. “Abismo” (2017) strong message is connected with the city idea of the artist: reivent and rebuilt, avoiding mental and real architecture made in the past.
